Dropbox allows its users to create file requests to accept files from others. This feature is particularly useful for Dropbox business users as they can get files from people outside of their organization who are not using Dropbox. This also helps Dropbox users manage and collaborate well with vendors and other third-party collaborators. In this article, we will learn how to create file requests in Dropbox.
Step 1: Login to Dropbox.com
Go to Dropbox.com and enter your login credentials to access your account.
Step 2: Click on the File Requests Tab
Once logged in, click on the File Requests tab. From this page, you can request, access, of manage files.
Step 3: Click on the New Request Button
To create a new file request, click on the New Request button.
Step 4: Create New Request
Enter a name for your request in the title area. Add details about the file request in the description field. Choose a destination folder to which the requested files need to be saved. Once everything is file, click on the Create button.
Step 5: Choose File Request Options
You can set a deadline by choosing a date. Dropbox Professional and Business users can allow late uploads, past the deadline.
Step 6: Complete the File Request
Enter the email of the person from whom you are requesting files. You can add a personal message too. Click on the Share button to complete the file request process.
In addition to sending as an email, you can directly copy the file request link and share it with anyone who you wish to receive files from.
